About our Handbags: Each handbag is a one-of-a-kind, wearable artwork--no two are alike. Each is labeled inside with the Dressed Up Cat label. It is delivered to you with a laminated card displaying the title, date of creation, the history of the bag and its components, and the artist’s “WHAT was she thinking" in creating the bag. Our cements and glues have been extensively tested and meet our standards for durability and longevity. No warranty is implied or offered on Dressed Up Cat products.
All our handbags and most embellishments have been sought out and “rescued” by the Dressed Up Cat herself. She mostly finds them at estate sales, although neighborhood markets, vintage dealers and resale shops are also fertile ground for the Cat. Whether vintage or “older”, the Cat only wants bags that appear to never have been carried. But please understand they are used, and have been carried and discarded by someone else on their way to you. The history of each item and the mystery of its previous owners are part of the cache of Dressed Up Cat Fashion Re-fashioned.

Are you worried about what environmental future we are leaving generations to come? So are we. We don’t know just how much energy is spent--the "carbon footprint"-- to design and manufacture a new leather handbag. We do, however, know that the carbon footprint of a Dressed Up Cat Handbag--made of rescued components—is nearly zero.
All Dressed Up Cat handbags and all of their components are sourced in the USA. The handbags are designed and assembled in the USA.
