It's true.  The Dressed Up Cat has personally rescued each of these beautiful handbags along with all of their components.  With her refined sense of color and texture, balance and pattern; a healthy dose of life and an unfailing sense of humor, she creates and executes each design.  Then she waits--sometimes days--for the perfect name to pop into her head.  (Yes, she's been known to burst out laughing in the supermarket.)  Once the bag has a fitting title, we create its "pedigree" with the name and description.  And a new Dressed Up Cat is born!

So what about OUR carbon footprint?  Sure, we have one:  it's gas in the Cat's car when she's out "treasure hunting".  And then there's the making of the adhesives and thread, and (if you're not in the Phoenix area) shipping the handbag to you.  We're not sure just yet how to measure our footprint.   But for now, we DO know this much:  a Dressed Up Cat's footprint is WAY smaller than that created in making, packaging, shipping, marketing & selling a brand new bag.  As a company, our goal is to measure our environmental impact and then use carbon offsets to eventually allow us to be a "carbon neutral" company. We think its a start.
